Botox & Fillers

Neuromodulators like Botox, Xeomin, Dysport and Nuceiva Neuromodulators also commonly known as neurotoxins are the most popular cosmetic procedure for a reason.

They are a safe and effective way to gently make the face look more youthful. They have many additional uses including hyperhidrosis, TMJ and migraine therapyetc. Botox is the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment. It is both affordable and effective. It has become the catch name for all types of injectables. Botox brand is one type of injectable which is known to inhibit muscle movement, therefore preventing wrinkles from developing or worsening. Botox works by blocking the nerve signals to the affected muscles surrounding the injection. This causes those muscles to become more relaxed, thus smoothing out their appearance.

Botox and neurotoxin injections are a 10-minute procedure performed by Dr. Adams in the comfort of our clinic. Patients are asked to come for their treatment with clean skin, protected by a physical block. A nurse will wipe the patient’s skin to remove all traces of product and oil.

Dr. Adams will then consult with the patient to determine the area to treat to ensure they achieve the results they desire. The treatment itself is very fast with minimal to no discomfort as we use avery fine-gauge syringe. Patients can leave and resume most normal activities immediately afterwards.

Facial Fillers are a naturally occurring compound that is injected under the skin to replace volume lost due to aging, to fill unwanted folds and wrinkles, or to create fuller lips. The fillers used at Market Mall Dermatology are all non-permanent. For most people they last between 6 to 18 months depending upon the area being treated.

A filler appointment takes longer than Botox. Plan for approximately 30 minutes for a filler appointment. As with all facial treatments, makeup is thoroughly removed prior to treatment. Because of the increased blood vessels in the area where fillers are generally applied, there is a greater possibility for minor swelling and/or bruising than with Botox. However, you can cover any affected areas with makeup, allowing you to return to work immediately following the treatment.
